I don't know all the actors (though most of them), but I just looked up Laura Vandervoort and I like that choice :) Funny that Folara's actress is called Ayla!
Would blond hair fit Gabriel Damon :P ? The photos I've seen of him all have dark hair.

They should make a better movie of the book!

Kind of a coincidence for the actress I picked for Folara huh? Ayla Kell was on Make It or Break It on ABC Family and I thought she would perfect for Folara.

I know Gabriel Damon wouldn't be a first pick but try imagining him wearing a blonde wig. If you can't, that's okay. I thought he would fit the profile, with the exception of the hair color.

And I hope they DO make a movie of the series. They tried the first one and THAT didn't go well.

Or maybe a tv series like they did with Game of Thrones. Same thickness of the books, also adult content, but (I think) a lot less interesting than Clan of the Cave Bear. I read book 1 of GoT (which took me a month instead of 2 days, because I didn't think it was interesting enough to continue reading all day, as I did with CotCB) and saw some episodes of the GoT tv series (random ones, but because I had read the book I could place them in the storyline). Because I got the pile of GoT books from a friend who didn't want to keep them I' m still planning to read them - but with the CotCB series I WANTED to continue reading and I was anxiously waiting for the next book(s). There's a lot of repetition in subsequent books (especially recaps from the previous books), which you can edit out in a tv series.
And if they do a tv series, then you can also pay more attention to the 'peaceful' details like herbs and searching for them, which was one of the most interesting things in the books for me.
The most expensive thing for the producers would probably be the Clan, if they really want them to have visually different head shapes.

My dad said he read the GoT books and he said they are really weird. I can't watch the show because it is on a channel we can't afford to pay.

I personally don't see the EC books as a TV Series. More like a movie saga like Harry Potter or Twilight. There are only six books in the EC saga and I finished reading all of them. The last book shows a lot of twists and turns in the plot. But yeah, you bring an interesting point about the head shapes for the Clan. Probably would spend a lot of money to get the configurations right.

The GoT books are weird :P Your dad is right. I saw an episode of the show at my boyfriend's house - you're not missing anything there either (also, I think paying for extra channels is a waste of money ^^; Most programs aren't interesting anyway).

The reason I thought a tv series might be better than a movie, is because there is too much happening in the books for one movie. But I didn't think of multiple movies! That might work even better :)

i know you said you didn\t care, but yeah i didn`t like a single one of those actors....
AlanNP1104 Featured By Owner Dec 12, 2012  Student Traditional Artist
Okay, who would YOU pick? For the parts if this became an actual movie?
Meme00 Featured By Owner Dec 14, 2012  Hobbyist
i can`t pick any.
I wouldn`t , propably, be able to pick any known actors, if they were making a movie, it should be lots of auctions for actors that wan`t to get a carriere, unknown actors. then people would maybe easier accept them as the characters in the books, and besides, the writer should also be there so she could pic actors that are good and that she means look like ayla and the others in the way she imagined them.
that is why i can`t pick someone.
and besides, i think those actors doesn`t look like any of them.

And that is exactly why this is all in my imagination. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. If you don't like my selection, that is fine. The problem is I couldn't think of anyone else for the parts. I understand you couldn't think of any as well but if something pops into your head, I would be more than happy to accept your idea.
